Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity in our HR Department for a highly energetic and passionate individual, with excellent administrative and process skills to manage a newly established centralised shared services function. This individual must be highly organised, always looking to improve processes with a focus on automation. High attention to detail, extremely systematic in their approach and highly methodical. This role will also require the incumbent to meticulously co-ordinate the various administrative functions from various HR areas to a central point of control and manage a team to optimally provide an efficient service to the rest of HR and the broader business in both Africa and the UK.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish a good understanding of all business policies, practices and processes in HR and ensure these are documented
• Ensure all employee documentation i.e. letters, employment contracts, employee benefit documentation etc. is up to date, relevant and consistently used across the business.
• Coordinate and monitor internal HR Service Delivery to enable HR Stakeholders to function effectively
• Manage a team of highly efficient administrators to ensure accuracy and quality of output in all communication and documentation
• Upskill the team on all HR policies, procedures and practices and ensure all deadlines are adhered to
• Drive automation of all processes to reduce manual practices
• Attend to all queries relating contracts, policies and benefits
• Manage all new joiner processes, paperwork and induction
• Perform all on-boarding processes
• Provide support and guidance on HR matters to managers and employees across the business area on HR related matters and escalate where necessary
• Understand all legislation pertaining to basic conditions of employment
• Prepare all salary review, promotion and performance incentive letters
• Conduct all exit interviews and complete termination processes
Qualifications and Experience
• Matric
• Degree and/or 7 years related experience
• Knowledgeable about HR practices: recruitment, talent development, performance management, legislation, labour relations, leadership and organisational development, change management and remuneration.
• A strong understanding of HR legislation and requirements, and the ability to apply the relevant legislation in the work environment. Specifically, knowledge of employment practices & compliance (Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills development Act).
• Good knowledge and understanding of HR Best practices, policies and procedures.
• 7 years relevant Administrative Experience
• Sound knowledge of Human Resources
• Sound knowledge of Oracle and BI advantageous
