An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled data analyst within the Old Mutual Rewards Analytics team.

The focus of the role is to grow the analytical and reporting capability for the Rewards program.
KEY RESULT AREAS

Understanding and interpreting business requirements and translating them into analytical reporting solutions
Identify key trends and interact with business to understand the impact of these trends and identify possible courses of action to mitigate / take advantage of the trends identified.
Managing data sources that feed into rewards analytics.
Prove and report on the return on investment for the rewards program by tracking the business benefit of the customers subscribed to the program against a control group.
Responsible for building strong working relationships with internal clients
Responsible for creating end to end solutions which includes problem definition, data acquisition, data exploration and visualization
Liaises with data delivery teams
In order to deliver on the key result areas, you will be required to:

Develop and maintain technical solutions which support regular and ad-hoc analytics deliverables
Provide proactive and reactive support to key stakeholders in the form of information, reports and presentations
Generate and test hypotheses and provide actionable and measurable insights
Create end to end solutions which includes problem definition, data acquisition, data exploration and visualizations
Build dashboards and reports to support business operations
Meet with internal stakeholders, ask questions to understand their business requirements, analyse data requirements and drive reporting and data analysis accordingly.
Regularly perform data quality checks
Manage and present data analysis to stakeholders.
Provide technical mentorship/coaching to team members
Identify opportunities to automate redundant tasks and streamline existing work processes.
Proactively seeks new knowledge and industry trends in data analytics
ROLE REQUIREMENTS

3 year tertiary qualification
At least 3 years working experience in a data-centric role.
Intermediate – Advanced SQL skills
At least 1 year working experience with Tableau
Experience working directly with clients.
Working experience with Loyalty program data advantageous.
Working experience with Alteryx, Python, open source tools advantageous
A solid understanding of relational databases and Data Warehouses
Good understanding of BI concepts, data structures and ETL frameworks
Be self-managed and possess good time management skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
The incumbent is relentlessly curious and uses advanced analytical skills, tools and platforms to present data as information and create analytical solutions that are interactive and easy to understand.
