Qualification(s):
 
• N6 or S4 National Diploma Mechanical Engineering
OR
• N6 Draughting Diploma
 
Experience:
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience specifically related to mechanical draughting using modern draughting packages including Auto desk, architectural, cad key, drawing packages, solid works and 3D scanning.
• Experience of quality management systems and relevant ISO Standards manufacturing when components have been modified using component samples only after the engineering development approval processes has been completed
• Supporting documents for measurement
• Weekly reports, monthly report, audit report, drawing and solid models’ standards and processes, Capex system.

Skills and Competencies
Skills:
• Technical competency in mechanical draughting using packages with a detailed understanding of mechanical and machine drawings and standards
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Mechanical Workshop experience
• High level of computer literacy in Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Power Point
• High level of skills in drawing software, including Autodesk Architectural, Cadkey drawing package, solid works, 3D scanning, CIVA NDT modelling and simulation
• Effective English communication skills and able to communicate at all levels in the organisation

Knowledge:
• Engineering and technical knowledge of mechanical draughting using modern draughting packages with a detailed understanding of mechanical and machine drawings and standards
• Knowledge of quality management systems and relevant ISO standards
• Knowledge of the OHSA, Construction regulations and Environmental regulations

Attributes:
• The incumbent may be required to travel extensively nationally and internally based on business requirements
