Jobs DescriptionExecute corrective and preventative maintenance to obtain high level of machine availability. Perform mechanical and electrical tasks on acid plant equipment. Execute risk assessments and follow work standards and instructions. Provide input with regards to stock of needed and critical spares. Support and execute projects from time to time as set out by the Projects team. Strict adherence to all internal HSE policies and procedures as well as all legal regulations/requirements. Maintain excellent world class housekeeping standards that fosters a safe working environment for all. Provide coaching and mentoring support to Apprentices as part of our growth philosophy. Be a team player in driving a high-performance culture and instilling a culture of discipline. Qualifications:
Must have a Millwright Trade Certificate. At least 5 years’ experience as a qualified Millwright within a manufacturing environment is essential. Exposure to a manufacturing site involving acid manufacturing processes will be advantageous. Criteria and Skills Good knowledge and experience of acid equipment, pneumatics, and electrical fault-finding. Basic PLC and instrumentation experience will be advantageous. Ability to handle working in a full body chemical protective suit with head cover for long periods. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work with production staff and other maintenance disciplines to improve Original Equipment Effectiveness. Excellent understanding of critical health and safety and quality standards in a dangerous environment involving acid. Must be a diligent individual with a keen eye for detail and have good innovative ideas. Willingness to work standby and occasional overtime is essential. Knowledge of basic computer packages such as MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel. |
