Reporting to the Head of Global Supply Management – Directs, this role will support the integration of the various category strategies as well as lead as the strategic portfolio manager for Directs. It will also support global and regional performance management, commercial planning, governance compliance and strategic project management. This position will also be responsible for support the Head of Global Supply Management – Directs and Global and Regional Category Managers in defining and delivering innovative commercial strategies, supplier partnering, co-innovation and framework agreements that will result in step change sustainable value.

This role will also lead all aspects of Supply risk management, including strategy setting and execution as well as all management routines that will ensure proactive risk management across sites, business units and the globe.

Support the management of the global Directs portfolio, maximizing sustainable value for the business whilst developing holistic strategies and strategic partnerships that support our technical, sustainability and financial ambitions
Ensure effective business adherence to the end-to-end category management activities, including sourcing, contracting and contracts management activities
Develop the supply chain risk management process for all Supply categories and liaise with Global and Regional Category Managers to identify, understand, analyze, and characterize risks and threats
Liaise with global and regional category managements to build effective business continuity plans and influencing policies and procedures to realize strategic categories goals and minimize supply chain risks.
Actively engage market resources and experts to continuously assess supply risks and recommend proactive actions and responses to mitigate them.
Monitor global market trends and key cost drivers to collaborate on the development of global and regional strategies to mitigate impact on goods and services prices
Lead supply chain risks forum with regular cadence and effectively communicate findings, recommendations and monitor potential courses of action
Liaise with the Supply Chain Centre of Excellence and key stakeholders to uncover opportunities for continuous cost, performance and business process improvement strategies, driving innovation and perceived value of the category
Responsible for the category portfolio governance, setting up the cadence of updates and tailored communication to impacted areas and key stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
Responsible for tracking the portfolio roadmap initiatives by effectively monitoring, releasing benefits, and checking progress against targets
Engage and influence a broad and complex internal stakeholder landscape to drive results through global and regional strategy implementation, including proactively engaging with governance and approval processes and managing key stakeholder relationships
Facilitate the development of strategic supplier partnerships that enable co-innovation and development of cutting-edge solutions to our business challenges with a strong focus on ESG (e.g. inclusive procurement, host communities, social impact, decarbonisation, etc.)
Ensure compliance with relevant policies & standards, designated systems, governance, ethical and legal requirements and communicate changes to such requirements to relevant stakeholders.
Develop a collaborative relationship with regional Supply Chain discipline teams to ensure alignment on future demand requirements, optimisation opportunities and resolution of supplier non-performance.
Support the development and implementation of portfolio relevant social & sustainability strategies and initiatives that will contribute to the sustainable mine plan and enable the Living Mine.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:

An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours Bachelors degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, e.g. Business Administration, Engineering, etc OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity

Desirable: A postgraduate qualification (Honours/ Masters/ Doctoral degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of 10+ years of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity

Technical Knowledge:

Strong overall knowledge of Supply Chain Management in a global context (Contract and Category management, etc.)
Proven track record in driving business transformational change, including technology (hardware and/or software) and adoption in a global organisation.
Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering benefit and value
Strategy formulation and value creation
Supply Chain Risk Management and Supplier Relationship Management
Excellent stakeholder management skills, including building and maintaining strong business relationships with key senior stakeholders
Good understanding of analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) for an insight-driven decision making
Ability to manage multiple projects, adopt a flexible approach and prioritise tasks appropriately
Strong analytical, presentation, communication (written & oral), interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
Industry and Market Research
Experience in Business Process Management and modelling tools
Workshop facilitation to multiple seniority levels and target audiences
Ability to communicate in English (advanced level for verbal and written)
Able to work effectively in a virtual environment with own team, key internal & external stakeholders and suppliers
Ability to work in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment
