• Support the development and implementation of the group-wide Preferential Procurement, Enterprise Development (ED) & Supplier Development (SD) Strategy.
• Identify and implement BEE/Local (SA) Procurement opportunities to assist improve the company’s BEE spend.
• Work with Strategic Sourcing team to drive and improve AECI procurement spend with BEE compliance suppliers according to the new DTi scorecard.
• Participate and support the achievement of the objectives of the Good Chemistry Fund
• Ensure that AECI meets its targets of Enterprise and Supplier Development as set out in the new DTi scorecard compliance requirements.
• Support the development and growth of the Good Chemistry Fund SME beneficiaries
• Track and regularly report on progress against targets to the leadership and devise mitigation or recommendations to meet objectives.
• Lead, influence and drive performance on BEE spend, ED and SD across the group.
• Prepare and issue RFI / RFP documents on sourcing and exploring potential beneficiaries or partners
• Support data collection on supplier performance (supplier scorecard) from around the organization.
• Manage and verify price escalations and contract variations.
Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
• Matric.
• University degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance or any equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ in Supply Chain environment and a minimum of 2 years in ESD environment
• Experience with ERP/ and or spend management systems.
• Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other analytical tools.
• Broad knowledge of codes of good practice and various DTi industry-specific charters.
• Function experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Chemical industry knowledge will be advantageous.
