Conduct required maintenance on various operations
Assist in training of artisans when required
Responding to breakdowns
Coordinate Equipment and Spares as required
Actively participate in the maintenance of UBS Equipment
Assist in engineering-related modifications and repairs
Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures, and practices
Comply with Safety, Health, and Environment standards
Daily reporting to the Field Engineer
Provide mechanical expert knowledge and fault-finding capability
Prepare and install new mechanical equipment
Conduct trip testing on charging equipment
Resolves escalated technical queries
Conduct audits on equipment as required and report findings to the Field Engineer

Qualifications & Experience
Matric
Qualified artisan
At least 1 year underground mining experience
Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
Knowledge of AECI Mining Explosives products and equipment
Medically fit to work in underground hot and cool mines
Valid Code 8 drivers licence
Sound knowledge of explosives
